Abstract Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in males and the 2nd leading cause of death it’s incidence in Egypt is increasing, but its actual incidence is not clear because the use of screening tests in the community is not common. The aim of this work is registration of all cases of the primary malignant tumours of the prostate presented to Ain Shams University Hospital and Ain Shams Specialized Hospital in the period from 2001-2005, in order to detect its incidence in relation to other malignant tumors in Ain Shams Hospitals. All cases of malignant prostatic tumors were collected from files of Ain Shams University Hospitals and Ain Shams Specialized Hospital during the period from 2001-2005 Also clinico-pathological data regarding age, PSA levels (when available) and methods of taking prostatic specimen were collected. |
