Abstract The present study was carried out employed to study the most important bacterial infections that occur usually in common carp fingerlings in Fewa fish hatchery. The major objectives of this study were to:— a) Isolate and identify microorganisms from diseased fish. b) Study the antibiotic susceptibility of the isolated bacteria. C) Describe the pathogenesity of the isolated bacteria in common carp after experimental infection via intramuscular (i/rn) injection. d) Determine the LD50 of Klebsiella spp. in common carp. The major findings were 1- Recovery of 129 isolates from 300 naturally infected common carp fingerljngs. Isolates were identified as: Aeromonas hvDROPhila (35 isolates),Proteus rettgeri (28 isolates). Proteus vulgaris, (20 isolates), P.morganil (17 isolates), .mirabilis (9 isolates), and 20 isolates of Klebseilla spp. |
