Abstract This thesis presents a new closed form expression for the Bit Error Rate (BER) of Multi Carrier Code Division Multiple Access MC-CDMA systems in generalized Nakagami-m fading channels. The proposed closed form solution is derived using the exponential approximation of the Q-function which yields in a closed fonn for the Bit Error Rate(BER) that is easily computed using simple programs without the need to use computer simulation or perfornl numerical integration. Two systems are included to apply this approximation on and examine the results, one is using an alternative form of the Q-Function and the other one is using the Moment Generating Function (MGF) method, the results of of each system is then compared with the results obtained from the performance without any approximation. |
