Abstract The present study was carried on a total of 180 Egyptian sheep which were obtained from different localities including. Tura El-Asmant Helwan Cairo, Mit Yazead at Sharkia governorate, and Mit-Ghamr at Dakhlia governorate, depending on the pollution of the air with various lung irritant agents from which 150 animals showed the clinical symptoms of pneumonia, and the rest 30 were clinically normal and served as control. Experimental trials were performed for the purpose of induction of respiratory disorders in response to the inhalation of non infectious irritant agents which were represented by ammonia vapour, and hydrogen sulphide gas. The clinical picture of normal and diseased sheep were recorded and discussed. Blood analysis was conducted on the pnenmonic sheep as well as the control groups, together with that of experimental animals before the application of the experiments during illness and after treatment. |
