Abstract

are considered as important source of drugs. They have provided mankind with use-to cure or to allay his illness. These include: alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, anti-tannins, carbohydrates, volatile oils, glyco-tc.
recent years, major interest in drug plant lias been initiated at the international level, continous use of synthetic drugs produces un-and/or toxic effects, consequently there is a sentiment in favour of a return to the use of crude plants for treatment of some diseases. been considered as the best active way for diseases that remained for years without :ion.
the wild plants growing in Egypt but little attention* are Xanthium plants which to family Compositae. Various species of have long been recognised as folk remedies for mt of several diseases. They are of special due to their anti—tumor and anticancer ties. In addition to the reported medicinal there have been innumerable cases of reported of cattle, hogs, and sheep by several species
