المستخلص ABSTRACT The current study conducted on 63 naïve chronic HCV patients who attended outpatient clinic in National Liver institute for treatment of chronic HCV From this study we found that: The prevalence of steatosis in patient with HCV infection in Egypt is 87.3% which is higher than in other studies. Hepatic steatosis is not a predictive factor to response to treatment with pegylated interferon and ribavirin in patients infected with HCV in Egypt Higher ALT has a significant relationship with sustained virological response Absence of hepatomegaly was associated with higher sustained virological response AST, viral load, body mass index, fibrosis, bile duct injury, lymphoid aggregates of foolicles were no assocated with sustained virological response in patients recevieng pegylated interferon and ribavirin |
