Abstract Small pelvic masses are frequently met with in gynecological practice. Sometimes their diagnosis is difficult and inaccurate on clinical basis and therefore, other diagnostic modalities are required. In order to evaluate the accuracy of ultrasonography and laparoscopy in diagnosing small pelvic masses, the two techniques were used in studying 50 cases with this diagnosis. All the study cases were subjected to ultrasonographic examination using the full bladder technique. Confirmation of the results of the scan was then made by laparoscopy. |
