Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate the possibility of using chlamydia sensitive antibiotics prior to culture and sensitivity. The results demonstrated that C. pneumoniae infection is prevalent among patients with obstructive lung disease. The study advised the use of antibiotics sensitive against chlamydia infection during the exacerbation of this illness. Also, the study showed that corticosteroids is a risk factor for C. pneumoniae infection and there is a highly significant relationship between dose, route of corticosteroids and C. pnemoniae infection among those patients with obstructive lung disease.
