Abstract
The present study was carried out to evaluate the effect of species combination on total production , type of product and production traits of three Oreochromis species (O.nilotic.us, O.galilaeus and T.zillii).
The fish used were obtained from Nile River and Barseek fish farm, then raised in aquaria for species identification and acclimatization. The fish were divided into 6 groups (O.niloticus, O.galilaeus,T.zillii,O.niloticus+O.galilaeus,O.niloticus + T.zillii,and O.galilaeus + T.zillii), each group being replicated three times. All fish were reared in cages, each of two cubic meter volume and cages were placed in a concrete pond. The experiment lasted for 20 week starting from April 30 th 1992. During the experimental period, all fish were fed on 26.6% crude protein containing diet at a rate of 3% of body weight
The measurment used were growth in body weight and length, condition factor, survival rate, size distribution, daily gain,total yield., feed intake and food converesion ratio
