Abstract
In recent years, awareness of the value of adequate post operative pain relief has been increased and several methods have been introduced. Upper abdominal operations causes severe post operative pain and is associated with high incidence of post operative pulmonary complications, and so post operative analgesia need to be effective for the patlent’s comfort and because it improves compliance, encourage coughing and deep breathing thereby reducing the risk of venttlation/perfusion abnormalities and pulmonary ateleetasis
