Abstract
The major objectives of this research are:
1-studying the removal of phosphorus and phosphorus compounds by direct precipitation from raw sewage ahead of primary treatment.
2-studing the reduction of COD, BOD, and suspended solids to decrease the organic load.
3- Determining the efficiency of different chemical precipitants with different dosages on effluent phosphorus residual , suspended solids removal, COD and BOD removal efficiency.
4- Highlighting the economical aspects of chemical phosphorus removal in Alexandria.
