Abstract
The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of simvastatin gel around immediately loaded dental implants replacing single-rooted teeth both clinically and radiographically.
This study was conducted on eight patients (6 females and 2 males) with age ranging from 20-45 years old. Six implants were placed in the upper left premolars region, one implant was placed in the lower right premolars region and one implant was placed in the upper central incisors region. Patients were free from any systemic diseases, non-smokers and with no history of parafunctional habits. They received 8 MRT SERIE (Microdent implant system) endosseous root form implants to replace single rooted teeth. Simvastatin drug was injected in the form of gel in the osteotomy site before implant placement.
