Abstract
This study was conducted on 50 pregnant ladies selected from the shatby maternity hospital who were pregnant between 24-36 weeks(as determined by history of the last menstrual period and ultrasonography).The cases were divided into two groups. group 1 consisted of thirty cases presenting with active preterm labor with intact membrances, group II a included ten cases who were at risk of developing preterm labor and group II b included ten patients who were completely normal.each of the cases was subjected to complete history taking,complete clinical .
