Abstract
In this study 300 different samples from sheep and goat
were used for isolation of sheep pox and PPR viruses. A total of
505 serum samples collected from sheep and goats at six
Egyptian Governorates and 1200 serum samples from twenty
governorates to be used in detection of antibodies against sheep
pox and PPR viruses. Isolation of sheep pox virus was done on
Vero cell and inoculation on CAM. Confirmation of isolation
was done by IFAT, AGPT and NT. Detection of antibodies
against sheep pox was done by ELISA and NI. Prevalence of
PPR antibodies were done by cELISA. Trials for isolation of
PPR were failed.
