Abstract 520. التبصرة الخاصة بالت... ## a) Two field experiments were carried out at El-Bramoon Agriculture Farm of El¬Mansoura Horticultural Research Station, Hort. Res. Inst., Agric. Res. Center during seasons of 2002 and 2003 on sweet pepper plants, (cv. California wonder). The study aimed to investigate the influence, of 3 levels of sulphur (0, 150 and 300 kgs/fed.), 4 levels of phosphorus (0 30, 60 and 9T kg P2051fed. and their interactions on growth, yield and quality of pepper fruits. Results showed that, adding sulphur at the highest rate (300 kg/fed.) significantly improved all tested vegetative growth parameters yield/plant yield/fed and availability of elements, flesh thickness and shape index. Moreover, the addition of mineral phosphorus fertilizer at the highest level (90 kg Pips/fed.) resulted. in significant increases in the previous characters in the two seasons, but no significant effect was noticed on No. of branches, shape index, flesh thickness and Mn in fruits. Positive interaction effects among mineral sulphur levels and phosphorus fertilizer levels were detected. Recommendation: The obtained, results, showed that the application of 300 kg S/fed. plus 90 kg P205ffied. could be recommended to maximize the fruit yield quality of sweet pepper under the condition of El Dakahlia Governorate. |
