Abstract This thesis is devoted to a detailed study for solar \ energy systems performance” and for designing so lar energy system for driving certainload.~:,lt consists of six chaptersincluding the introduction. Chapter 2 is concerned with solar energy and forms of sunlight energy conversion. These forms are thermal,and electrical (photovoltaic). Chapter 3 consists of two parts. The first part deals with the basic properties of p-n junction solar cell and the parameters affecting its output. In the second part the general description of stand-alone photovoltaic SAPV power system is given.Chapter 4 surveys the design technique for stand-alone photovoltaic power system, the life cycle cost analysis of this system is given. Chapter 5 consists of two parts. In the first part the informations and data of solar radiation, temperature, wind speed and relative humidity for different locations in Egypt are collected. The second part is concerned with the useful application in the optimum. design method of stand-alone photovoltaic power system to provide a village with different electrical services (100 kwh/Day, 200 volt dc) |
