Abstract

Aim of the work
The aim of thesis is to explore the variation of autonomic fluxe in different condition with congenital heart diseases (CHD) and to establish the pattern of heart rate variability in different verities of congenital heart disease.
This would need establishment of:
1- Pattern of HRV in different cardiac congenital anomalies.
2- Study differences in HRV in cyanotic versus acyanotic heart disease.
Summary and conclusion
All patients and control were subjected to:
1- Full history taking usually through the parents.
2- Full clinical examination.
3- Holter monitoring for 24 hours.
4- Echocardiography for all patients (2D-M mode).
5- Analysis of the data.
In our thesis there is significant difference of age between cyanotics and a cyanotics, the prior represent to our hospital by bluish discolouration of skin and mucous membranes.
Increase the incidence of congenital heart diseases in males than females.
They revealed decrease in systolic and diastolic in cyanotics than acyanotics.
Ventricular septal defects are the most cyanotics congenital heart disease in patients follow up in our locality.

Tetralogy of Fallot is the most common type of congenital cyanotic heart disease.
Studying time domain analysis of heart rate variability revealed reduced RRmin, RRave, RRmax in acyanotics heart diseases indicating presence of tachycardia in those patients.
No reduction of HRV in cyanotica and acyanotics patient in relation to control.
Heart rate variability parameters are correlated to each other strongly.
