Abstract A command guidance system is defined as a system in which intelligence is transmitted to the missile from an outside source which causes the missile to traverse a prescribed trajectory in space. This trajectory depends on the used guidance method. Command guidance system, in general, requires that the behaviour of the missile and the target to be monitored externally, any deviation from a prescribed trajectory be computed, and the deviation be communicated to the missile and intercepted by its control system so as to realign the missile flight path to intercept the target. It was found that the probability of destroying the target by one missile is low, because it is affected by several factors, these factors are related to the target, the missile, and the guidance station. To increase the probability of destruction, more than one missile, are launched at one target. These missiles are launched with certain time differences. |
