Abstract

Aim of the work
The aim of this study is to study is to evaluate the renal functions clinically and laboratory in patients with advanced liver cirrhosis, trying to predict the most common causes of renal dysfunction in those patients.
Conclusion
Cirrhosis is associated with host dynamic and renal abnormalities. Sympathetic over-activity seems to play an important role in the pathophysiology of these changes. These abnormalities seem to be inter-related in vicious cycle manner. Therefore manipulation of any link in this pathophysiological chain may help to improve haemodynamic status and renal abnormalities in cirrhosis.
