Abstract In this thesis a. survey of yarn irregularity are explained ording to how this would affect and in:fluence the quaJ..ity lmitted fabrics • : Experimental work was Qarried out on carded cot1ion yarn , a count No = 16/1 and No~ ,30/1 each yarn count was spun by ferent spinn plane in order to obtain yarn with different There yarns were knitted into a grey fabrics on a circular ·ft knitting machine and analyzmg lfarious fabrics made from una with differen-t levels of unevenness. The main parameter of the knitted fabric which affected the geometry is -the value of the coefficient of variation yarn used~ Open-end spun yarn which has different characteristics than ring spun yarn, physical and mechanical properties of these yarns have been investigated, Also studied the reflection of their level of unevenness on the knitted fabrics properties, any deviation from similar ring spun knitted The expel’:’imental results showed that, fabrics knitted from . the two types of yarns posses different properties and particularly ~ That the amount of fabric shrinkage after washing observed t 0 E fabrics is greater than that which occurs in R,!,S fabrics It is also observed that the stitch densi~ of OE fabric ’as higher than of RS fabrics at the same value of tension and here difference will be reflected on some physical and lechanical properties of the knitted fabrics. |
