Abstract This research is an attempt to make a few steps on the difficult and mostly unfamiliar grounds of frictional economics. It is thus important to stress its preliminary nature. The analytical structure in many parts is incomplete and requires more rigorous analysis than is presented. It must therefore be taken asa first step after which many more steps are due. I am grateful for the help and encouragement of my committee members. I am also grateful to Mr. R. Glenn Vice and John D. Wolken for their editorial and typing assistance. |
