Abstract Egyptian cotton was blended with stretch-broken wool at .ferent blend ra tios and spun on both O. E. and Ring spinning ’tems, for the purpose of producing light weight and medium ight fabrics to be used as a winter fabric (shirting, under r, and ladies house gowns) or inter-season fabrics. The different physical and mechgnical properties of the ’lended fabrics were tested and investigated. The extent of viation of the blended fabric properties from that of all- was deduced and explained ,physically. The save n the fabric cost was compared with the magnitude of drop in comfort properties for the blend ratio or % wool with 50% cotton. |
