Abstract
During last years, due to the extension of the agricultural area, the water requirements increased. For the purpose of increasing water income, drains water had to be reused by mixing it with fresh water of canals with certain percentage in order to reduce con¬centration of disolved salts to avoid bad effects on plants and soil.
For the mentioned purposes, the study was perfor¬med in the field in order to take all effects into con¬sideration.It was found that one of the proper examples in the field is Edcu drain which discharges drained water into Mahmoudia canal at right angle. -The-study aims to obtain the distance downstream canal at which the reuse of the drained water is suitable.The study concerned with a 90° junction which represents the preferable angle of side discharge as will be discussed.
