speech enhancement is one the classical topics of speech signal processing .diifferent algorithms have been proposed over the years for speech enhancement the goal of speech enhancement varies according to the specific application such as improving the voice communiction systems but, no speech enhancement system on improve both speech quality and intelligibility at the same this thesis concentrates on speech enhancement and speech deconvolution.
for speech enhancement, the thesis begins with a study of the existing speech enhancement techniques such the spectral subtraction technique, the wiener filtering technique and the wavelet thresholding techniques. then, an adaptive wiener filtering approach to speech enhancrment is proposed and compared to these existing techniques. this approach achieves a better performace than existing speech encement techniques.
