Abstract
This investigation was carried out in the experimental farm. Faculty of Agriculture Minia University , for two successive seasons 1984/1985 and 1985/1986
This research was aimed to study the effects of some plant growth regulators and microelements on vegetative growth flowering aspects, tuberous roots production and chemical composition of Dahlia pinnata. Dahl. Var. Moon light sonata.
The research work consists of three parts:
The first aimed to study the effects of four growth regulators; kinetin at 25, 50 and 100 ppm, ccc at 250, 500 and 100 ppm. Alar-85 at 250, 500 and 1000 ppm and Atrinal at 0.05%, 0.1% and 0.2%.
The second part was conducted to investigate the effect of the microelements. Zinc and Manganese each at 50 and 100 ppm applied separately or in combinations.
The third part aimed to figure out the influences of the interaction between the growth regulators and microelements
The growth regulators used were 100 ppm kinetin, 500 ppm for ccc and Alar and 0.1% Atrinal. Microelements used were Zn and Mn each at 50 and 100 ppm or in the following combinations: Zn 50 ppm + Mn 50 ppm . and Zn 100 ppm + Mn 100 ppm.
