Abstract
Quality of life is a subjective sense of fellbing encompassing phyical psychological social and spiritual dimensions. QOL is fundamental to achieve a high level of wellness to attain the sucessful management of the multiple changes associated with aginig to enhance the life satisfaction during later life and to develop strategies to ensure the availability and privision of compercensive and holistic care to the elder. As a consequence of the deep changes the Egyption society a large proportion of elders prefer seeking institutional placement where medical social psychological nutritional receational and spiritual service are provided. However entring institutional setting is generally considerred to be a stressful event as its envionment requires a radical life adjustment by the elder which has its impact on their QOL.
