Abstract
This research presents an expert system development environment which provides an integrated set of tools for knowledge representation. reasoning. debugging. image processing, and interfacing with end-users.
The system is developed to have a user friendly interface with minimum amount of details required. The system has its own language which enables the users to write their own systems. The language syntax is simple to understand, to learn, and to use. It consists of a reduced set of commands which the user can learn and understand in a few hours. However. with this language many AI techniques can be implemented. these include: facts as well as rules representation, backward chaining (goal driven) inference strategies, cycling. question answering facility, loading external databases in which some information might be encoded later. calling external programs to perform any user specified functions such as image processing functions .... etc.
