Abstract
The present study provides basic knowledge on the ecology & distribution of the zooplankton community in general and the copepod population in particular in the south eastern Mediterranean waters during the period from February 1984-April 1985. such study is highly important in order to trace and evaluate the fundamental changes that has taken place in the secondary trophic level in the area both quantitatively and qualitatively, twenty years after the construction of the Aswan High Dam. the study area covers the south eastern part of the Mediterranean sea off the Egyptian coast.
