Abstract

he Humidification and Dehumidification process is based on the fact that air can dract a certain amount of the water vapour when it is with contact within the ’ater interface. This amount is depend on the air or/and water temperature. the lcreasing the temperature of the air or/and water the increasing the extracted vater vapour. The increasing the air temperature is not practical as this need te elatively large heat exchanger, on the other hand the increasing the wate emperature becomes more convenient but limited due to the formation of scale ;uch as Sulfur & Silica and makes the heating more difficult and may caus damage for the heater coils. The maximum water temperature must not exceed 80,
The dehumidification process take place in a separate heat exchanger called dehumidifier. The dehumidifier can be one of a lot of types of the dehumidifiers.
The selection of the dehumidifier should be in fact of minimizing the cost of wat productivity as possible to get the unit more efficient.
~The main target from this project is to thermal design and manufacturing of finn
!,~be dehumidifier using the air as a coolant explaining the manufacturing proce !,
\the experimental results and comparison with the theoretical result. Also
: mparison between this type and some types of the dehumidifier such as DX c( late fins and water cooled dehumidifier.
