Abstract The present study was carried out during 2000 and 2001 seasons on Balady mandarin trees grown on sour orange rootstock at EL- Sheinkh moubarok village Abou-korkas district, minia governorate. This study aimed to throw some light on the effect of soil and /or foliar applications of potassium at various levels on some growth characters, yield as well as some physical and chemical properties of balady mandarin fruits. This experiment included two factors. The first factor consisted from four levels of potassium nameiy 0.0,100,200 or 400gk2 o/tree. The following five methods of potassium applications represented the second factor: 1-application of potassium as 100.0%via soil. 2-application of potassium as 100.0%via leaves. 3-application of potassium as25.0%via leaves and 75.0%via soil. 4-application of potassium as33.0%via leaves and66.7%via soil. 5-application of potassium as50.0%via leaves and50.0%via soil. |
