Abstract
Neem (Azadirachta indica . A dess ) belonging to Fam Meliaceae , is apromising woody tree , recentiy introduced to Egypt . it is poterntially one of the most valuable of all aridzoon tree s . it is deep-rooted , medium size broad –leafed evereoreen tree , which can grow in nutriet-deficient soil , survives great heat withstands 0-c or lower and tolerates as little rainfall as 130 mm per year . neem tree has many beneficial Uses including firewood , wood seed oil windbreak , street tree and industrial chemicals Moreover it used as insect repellent as the seeds and leaves contain azadirachtin , a compound that appears to be apromisina new insect repellent
