Abstract
This investigation was carried out during the two summer seasons of 1990 and 1991 at the private farm of Mr. Add El-Moneim Hemaida , Zarabi Village , Beni suef province . The response of three potato cultivars,Alpha , Baraka and Diamant to four nitrogen sources , ammonium sulphate (NH4)2 SO4, ammonium nitrate NH4 NO3 , calcium nitrate ( Ca(NO3)2 and urea Co(NH202 were evaluated . Each nitrogen source was applied at the rate of 150 kg N/feddan and sude dressed in two equal doses at 4 and 6weeks froom planting .
