Abstract
This investigation was carried out during three successive seasons of 2000 (mother plants ) , 2000/2001 (first rations) and 2001/2002 (second rations) on Williams and Grande Naine bananas (Musa Cavendishii) Banana plants are grown in a private Orchard situated at Kom Omboo district, Aswan Governrate soil texture is silty clay.
Regular orchard management except NPK fertilization were carried out as usual.
The experiment included the following three factors:
1-the first factor consisted of the two cultivars of banana namely williamms and Grand Naine.
2- the second factor included three planting spacings and number of suckers per hill i.e. 2.0×2.0 m with leaving one sucker per hill , 3.0×3.0 m with leaving two suckers per /hill and 4.0 × 4.0 m with leaving three suckers per / hill.
3- the third factor evolved the twelve treatment of NPK fertilization
