Abstract
The aim of the work, presented in this thesis, was to study the effect of two growth stimulants ”Atonik ” and Atonik G, a growth regulator ” Kinetin ” as well as a complete fertilizer ” Wuxal” , on vegetative growth flowering and oil content of matricaria chamomile , L, and to study the effect of three weather factors ( daily maximum temperature, daily minimum temperature and daily relative humidity ) on the change of population (larvae-adults) in the season 1979/80.
Seeds of chamomile were sown on Aug. 30 th and seed¬lings were transplanted on Oct. 15 th. Three treatments of Atonik and Atonik G were used ( Table I). Kinetin was applied as 12.5, 25 and 50 ppm. in both seasons, and a fourth concentration (100 ppm) was added in the second season. wuxal was applied as 2m/L. Pour foliage sprays were practiced, at two weeks intervals, starting Oct. 10 th and ended Nov. 21 st. The plants were cultivated in plots arranged in a complete randomized block design. Data were taken on average plant height, branch number, plant diameter every 15 days, as well as shoot fresh and dry weights at the end of the growing seasons.
