Abstract
On the global scale, deposits of the Cenomanian- Turonian interval are characterized by an Oceanic Anoxic Event (OAE) where significant oxygen depletion is occurred. This gave favourable condition for oil generation .(Schlanger & Jankins, 1976) Consequently it is important to study this interval in order to complete the picture about the depositional environment and its effect on lithofacies, and biofacies (cf Abu Khadra et al., 1987).
