Abstract
This investigation was conducted at the farm of shandaweel agriculture research station, during 1977/1978 and 1978/1979 season to study the effect of phosphorus fertilization rate, planting dates and planting spaces on some growth characteristics , yield, yield components and protein content of seeds of field bean vicia faba l. variety rebaia 40, the experiment was arranged in a splite- split-plot desing with four replications., the fertilization rates namely 0.50.75 and 100kg/fadden were assigned to the main plots . sowing was carried out in three dates, early 1 november, medium 20 november and late at 10 december . sowing dates were arranged in the sub-plots.
Planting spaces namely 10.20 and 30 cm. between hills and planting was carried out on both sides of the row,were arranged to the sub-sub plots. Each experimental unit was faddan in size. Contaning,
