Abstract
The present work was performed to study the effect of crude extract of purslane on blood coagulation and fibrinolysis in normal albino rats.In this study we used twenty (20) albino rats, were categorized into two groups, ten rats in each group.(l)Normal control group; had free access for water and food .And received distilled water in a dose of 5 ml/kg body weight daily by intragasyric tube.(2) Purslane group; received crude purslane extract in a dose of 5 gm/Kg body weight daily by intragastric tube.The duration of experiment was three weeks.Blood samples were collected and used for measurment of the following parameters:1- Prothrombin Time.2- Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time.3- Coagulation factors II, VII and X.4- Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-l (PAl-I).
