Abstract

Transactional analysis is a highly effective approach in understanding and improving communication as it helps in better understanding of self and others.
Training teachers of psychiatric nursing in transactional analysis helps in improving their communication and hence improve their relationship with each other and with their students
In other words teacher can promote successful experiences and increase the student’s confidence particularly in the clinical field.
Using transactional analysis seems to be a method to help teachers become more student centered essential to make education worthwhile.
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of teachers training using transactional analysis in group setting on their relationships with their students.
This study was carried out on students enrolled in the fourth year at the higher institute of nursing university of Alexandria and on psychiatric nursing teachers.
