Abstract The present investigation was planned to identify, and to through some lights on some biological properties of the etiological agent of a severe virus disease naturally encountered on grapevine (Vitis venifera L.) cultivar Roomi-Red in minia. Extensive studies of the host range and sYmptomology, together with physical properties determinations and serolo¬gycal tests revealed that the causal agent of the disease is a strain of tomato ringspot virus ( Tom RSV); thus, this is the first record on Tom RSV on grapevine in Egypt. |
