Abstract
this study started after accurate analysis of what were published on midline.
All previous studies about the same subject were either ignored the type of cancer and concentrated on paraneoplastic neurological syndromes or were done on patients already on chemo-radiotherapy.
That is why the results in most of cases were conflicting.
So, the present study was done on one type of cancer after exclusion of the other causes of neuropathy in these patients as much as we can.
That is why the aim of this work was to study the electrophysiological changes in patients with lung cancer, underwent neither chemotherapy nor radiotherapy.
This study was carried out on twenty patients (patients group) with cancer lung.
They were collected from oncology institution and chest clinics ; Menoufyia University hospital, Egypt and the other half were selected from Pneumological Rehabilitation unit, Salvatore Maugeri hospital, Italy. 10 of them females and 10 of them males, their age ranged from 18 – 70 years.
The results collected from the patients group were collected and tabulated to be compared with the control group.
The control group consisted of twenty healthy normal subjects; 9 of them males and 11 Females.
