Abstract The hydration products were estimated from the mass loss, on static heating. These hydration products were: (i) the sorbed water, evaporating at 110ºC (ii) water of hydrates, (110o-220ºC), (iii) water in C-S-H gel of the jennite like and/or tobermorite structure, (220o-400ºC), described as the chemically bound water, (iv) water released from portlandite, which was formed on hydration, (400o-800ºC); this assumes no carbonation below 400ºC, (v) sensitivity to carbonation (600o-800ºC), i.e. |
