Abstract
The Present work has been carried out on two areas in El Minia Go`vernorate; tuna El-Gabel and Tall Al-Amarna. Tuna El-Gabel is located about 3 km to the notthwest of mallawi along the old traveling road (agriculture road )then 15 km to the west through many villages and towns. the study discussed the historical employment of limestone in the purposes of buildiing in the studied areas. the limestone is considered the principal stones widely used by the ancient Egyptians in the sculptures and historical buildings.
