Abstract
This investigation was carried out at the kom-ombo sugar factory cane research station in order to study the fllowing :
1)Assessment and comparing the major factors affecting cane quality.
2)development of the present harvest programme to optimise the quality of cane deliveries to the factories and increase sugar yield.
