Abstract
(1) Chapter I contains the theoretical introduction which includes the definition and types of surface active agents and the method of micelle formation in different media either aqueous or non-aqueous. A simple idea about the size and shape of different micelles and the effect of addition of electrolytes and the effect of temperature on the formation of micelles. The effect of temperature on the solubility of surfactants. Different models such as phase separation and phase equilibrium can be applied to calculate the thermodynamic parameters. (2) Chapter II (a) methods of purification of both different ionic compounds and used solvents. (b) Apparatus which is used to measure the density, electrical conductance and finally in spectrophotometric measurements.(3) Chapter III includes the results and discussion which includes the general classifications of different solvents through the solvent-solvent interaction, from point of view of six different theories.
