Abstract This study was carried out in sids agricultural research station beni-suef governoera, Egypt during 1996-1999 to evaluate some organic residues (or) as amendment for coarse textured soil assessing their impact on some soil physical and chemical properties as well as on crop growth and production The soil used for the study was collected from masora area beni-suef Egypt to represent the newly reclaimed sandy calcareous desert land The three organic residues used as raw material in the compost preparation were sesame straw (ss) water hyacinth (WH)and peanut straw(PS) A composting experiment was performed to evaluate seven composting treatment (CT)used as microbial activators as following: CT1= OR alone, CT2 = OR +N+P, CT3 =OR +FYM, CT4 =OR +FYM +P,CT5 =OR +FYM +N+P,CT6 =OR+PM and ct7 = or +pm +n+ p for each or on the manorial value of the resultant composts in terms of compost characteristics |
