Abstract
as a cornerstone in the overwhelming acceptance of the dynamic nature of the earth and the kinematic theory of plante tectinics, paleomagnetism has been successfully applied to solve local and global tectinic problems for more than 20 years; revealing the details of plate motions, providing an independent frame to constrain paleogeogeaphic reconstructions, restoring the original position of lithospheric blocks and defining the spatial relations of various tectonic blocks at any particular age.
