Abstract This study was aimed to develop yield prediction equations for sunflower through investigating yield factors i.e. macro and micro environmental factors as well as yield components. Micro environmental factors included climatic and soil factors. The most important climatic factors were growing degree days, photothermal unit, potential sunshine hours and total bright sunshine hours. Similarly, the most important soil factors were soil texture, silt %, electric conductivity and water table. The most important yield components were stem height, stem diameter, number of seeds per head, 1000-seed weight, plant yield, seed yield per plot and oil yield per plot. |
