First aid emergency treatment becomes the most important factor controlling the outcome of the patient.
Injuries of the face involving soft tissues and bony skeleton will continue to be a challenge to the plastic surgeon’s skill.
Soft tissue injuries of the face should be treated as soon as possible to obtain the best results, decrease the risk of infection, and prevent excessive scarring.
The initial management of these injuries has a direct bearing on the final result and inadequate initial treatment with necessitate later revision.
