Abstract

Aim of the work
To predict the corticosteroid responsiveness in cases of NS in the earliest stages.
Conclusion
The results of our study showed that U-NAG levels were significantly higher in SRNS and SSNS-RL groups than in controls and it was slightly higher in SRNS than SSNS-RL but the difference was not significant. In SSNS, U-NAG excretion was significantly higher in the RL group than in Rm-P and Rm groups. There was a strong positive correlation between U-NAG and protein excretion in all patients.
Also, U-β2M excretion was significantly higher in SRNS and SSNS-RL groups than in controls. It was significantly higher in the SRNS group than in SSNS-RL. In SSNS, U-β2M excretion was higher in the SSNS-RL group than in SSNS-RmP and SSNS-Rm groups. There was a positive correlation between U-β2M and protein excretion in all patients.
