Abstract
the work Aim To evaluate the curative rate, morbidity and complication of Laser assisted uvulopalatoplasty, radiofrequency and injection snoroplasty in management of snoring.All patients were subjected to preoperative assess protocol that included:
(A) Thorough history taking. (B) General examination.
(C) Full ENT examination. (D) Laboratory investigation. (E) Radiology studies.
Patients with airway obstruction at the nasopharyng level or obstruction at the tongue base level as shown by clinil examination (endoscopy, Muller’s maneuver) were exclud from the study.
The patients were divided into three separate group twenty-five patients each :
Group A, UPPP was performed using CO2 laser. Group E, UPPP was performed by radiofrequency .
Group C, UPPP was performed by Injection of sclerotherapy into the soft palate. Laser assisted uvulopalatoplasty , radio frequency reduction of the palate and injection snoreplasty are safe and tolerable methods for treatment of snoring and mild obstructiveesleep apnea.
